A Message From Richmond Police – Brussels

Dear all

By now you will all have seen or heard about the terrorist attacks in Brussels. Our hearts go out to all those caught up in the awful situations and to those having to deal with it and ensure the safety of everyone at the scenes.

There is no specific intelligence at this time to suggest anything will happen here but as ever we are very vigilant and the current threat level from terrorism is ‘severe’ which means an attack is highly likely. We have been in this position for several months. We have placed additional officers on the streets and at the transport hubs and we have plans in place to mobilise should it become necessary.

Please be assured that we are doing all we can to keep you safe and I would appreciate your extra vigilance as NHW coordinators when you are going about your daily business – if you see something that doesn’t seem right – suspicious package or odd behaviour please ring 999 – we would rather hear from you than not.

Please feel free to email if you have any concerns or ring your SNT base direct on one of the numbers that I sent out last week.

Kind regards

T.C/Inspector Hannah Wheeler BA Hons
