Christmas Tree Recycling

Only Until Sunday 7th January; Only Brentford Gate. Only Real Trees!

Don’t forget that you can bring your natural Christmas tree (minus decorations) to Kew’s Brentford Gate for free recycling this week. The trees we receive will be shredded and used as acidic mulch for many acid loving plants in the Gardens, including camellias, rhododendrons and ericas. The mulch is applied to help retain moisture in the soil and root area during dry and sunny weather to prevent weed growth.

Alternatively the Council will be collecting trees on scheduled recycling collection days between Monday 8 January and Friday 19 January 2018. Alternatively, you can take your Christmas tree to:

· Household Waste and Recycling Centre, Townmead Road, Kew

· Barn Elms Sports Centre, SW13 0DG (opposite Barnes Rugby Centre)

· Squire’s Garden Centre car park, Sixth Cross Road, TW2 5PA

· Old Deer Car Park, TW9 2RA

· Ham Street Car Park, TW10 7RS
