The Parish Eucharist takes place every Sunday at 9.30am, with a mixture of traditional and newer music and hymns. The Barn is a beautiful church for a wedding and many families bring children for baptism and become long-term members of our community. The Barn puts on many social and community events and hosts clubs such as thriving nursery and after-school groups. The Barn Church is historic. It was the first church in England to be built from a barn. The timbers come from a 17th-century barn in Oxted, in the far corner of Surrey. The timbers clearly predate the barn itself – they were probably from ships that fought at the time of the Armada – and the Tudor panelling behind the altar may be even older.
