Kew Society AGM & Talk by Susanne Groom

October 23 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Calling all Members! Please come to our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 23rd October at the National Archives. Join us for a drink at 6.30pm, where the Committee will be extending a warm welcome.

After completing the formalities of the AGM, The Kew Society is delighted that Susanne Groom, British historian, author and former Royal Historic Palaces Curator, will provide a short talk
“A Dainty Dish To Set Before a King at Kew”.

In the late 1788 George III visited Kew in the grip of a mysterious illness and this was the longest stay he made at Kew since his childhood. What did he eat during this period and how do we know?
