Loyalty and Dissent: South Asia and the First World War

March 19 @ 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm

This webinar, which forms part of a project The National Archives embarked upon in 2016, explores the tension between loyalty and dissent to an all-powerful British Imperial State.

The webinar will focus primarily on the FO 371 record series, providing an introductory guide to searching this series for relevant material.

It will also introduce in a little more detail some of the more remarkable documents we uncovered as part of the project. In highlighting these files, there is opportunity to learn a little more about this fascinating and largely underreported aspects of the war, whilst providing a themed introduction to searching our collection.

This event is online only.
