Please come and hear Lucinda Ganderton reveal how Queen Victoria’s laundry was washed in Richmond and transported here by special train. the Royal Laundry, designed by Prince Albert, stood in Kew Foot Road and for nearly 80 years dealt with a vast amount of royal washing from bloomers and petticoats to table linen and cleaning cloths.
