Talk by Susanne Groom: The 300th anniversary of the arrival of the royal Hanoverians at Richmond and Kew

Prince George and Princess Caroline (the future George II and Queen Caroline) came to Richmond in 1718 – the first step in a sequence of events that would lead to, among other things, the creation of Kew Gardens. We’ll be marking the arrival of the Hanoverians in Richmond and Kew with this talk.Susanne Groom, who lives in Kew, is a former curator at Historic Royal Palaces.
