Got a second? Try a spot of micro-volunteering!

Sunday April 15th is International Micro-volunteering day, a great time for the borough’s residents to muck in with their community as and when they can.

We all know how busy life can get, and many people may feel they don’t have the time to volunteer despite really wanting to. That’s the benefit of micro-volunteering!

Unlike most volunteering roles, it doesn’t ask for a regular commitment of time each week, but offers the opportunity to give a small amount of time when you are able to.

Several micro-volunteering opportunities are available in the borough including:

  • The Good Gym who meet on a Monday evening;
  • Me Too and Co who are looking for people to help at their play sessions or at one-off events
  • Integrated Neurological Services based in Twickenham who are looking for micro volunteers who can donate just 2 minutes of their time to spread the word about the great work they do via social media and;
  • South West London EnvironmenNetwork (SWLEN) provide a What’s On Guide on their website of micro environmental and conservation volunteering opportunities
