London Underground have started consulting on their proposal to close the ticket office in April and improve station facilities at Kew Gardens Station among ten others. A letter, to be found here, does give some detail including improved customer service by giving new roles to and retraining staff and new, improved ticket machines to be introduced from December 2016. To date 283 stations have been transformed in this way.
