Temporary traffic signals in place as Rocks Lane Bridge undergoes essential works
Slightly further afield:
Rocks Lane Bridge outside Barnes station will be restricted to single lane operation whilst it undergoes essential improvement works.
The £2 million upgrade is a joint project between Richmond Council and Network Rail to ensure the bridge continues to be able to carry the high level of traffic which uses it.
The work necessitates the use of temporary, two-way traffic signals from the 26th February to 10th July 2018, which may result in traffic delays in the area. The temporary traffic lights are being controlled manually from 7am to 7pm on week days, 8am until 6pm on Saturdays and 9am to 6pm on Sundays to ensure optimal flow of traffic across the bridge in both directions. Bus routes serving the station’s passengers will remain in place.
No doubt here will be a knock-on effect particularly around the Red Rover junction.
