Watch out for TV licence scam emails.
The council is warning the public to be aware of an email scam which aims to steal bank details.
The unsolicited emails look exactly like communications from TV Licensing asking for details to be renewed. The messages contain links to genuine-looking websites that are designed to steal personal and financial information. The emails say customers must update their details urgently or their TV licence will expire.

Apparently scammers are operating in the car park. They approach the driver and say that they witnessed another car hit theirs. They invite the driver to see the damage which is low down at the rear. Once out of the car, an accomplice steals from the front.
