Controlled Parking Zones

There are a number of changes that are going to put pressure on parking in Kew. Among them are :

  • Kew Road cycles lanes
  • Proposed large-scale developments with little or no parking provision:
    • Homebase site
    • Stag Brewery site
    • Brentford stadium and associated residential blocks
  • ULEZ & congestion charging (Being on the edge, the tube station will attract people wanting to park before carrying on to Central London)
  • CPZs come with double yellow lines 5m either side of a junction and potentially only single side parking in narrow streets

The council is consulting on the existing CPZs and areas within Kew that do not have controlled parking.

This consultation closes on 26th August, so if you wish to submit your views, it must be done by then. Unless there is a response of over 50% of those eligible, the council will do what they think best.

Further details can be found here where there are links to the surveys for each area.
