“Is it timeless and ageless?”
Come and hear the inside story from Lorraine Neale (Chairman of The Friends of St Anne’s Church) who was privileged to have worked with Barbara Hulanicki during this innovative time. Lorraine will bring along a few of her Biba Clothes!
Barbara Hulanicki OBE is recognized as a British fashion icon, awarded an OBE for ‘Services to Fashion’ in the Queen’s 2012 New Year’s Honours List. Barbara began her career in fashion in the early 1960’s as a freelance fashion illustrator covering all the important fashion collections for the major publications of the day. In 1964, she founded the BIBA boutique with her late husband Stephen Fitz-Simon. You could buy everything you ever wanted at an affordable price under one roof cultivating the concept of a lifestyle store.
“I do like clothes, but not fashion!”
Tickets for this event are £20, to include drinks and nibbles, and may be purchased online here or at the church only on the second Sunday each month preceding the event. All Friends are eligible for a £5 discount.
