SUMMARY:Ward Panel Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Your opportunity to hear what the team have been up to\, what’s been happening in Kew and help set ‘promises’ for the next quarter. \nThe minutes of the last meeting can be found here\, the agenda here and the last quarter’s cirme figures here. \nWe are very grateful to the National Archives for letting us meet in their building. However\, the nature of the Archives is such that we have to be accompanied to the meeting room by Darren or another member of staff. Darren usually makes several trips up to the room but the last one will be close to the start time of the meeting. If you are unable to arrive by 7pm\, I’m afraid that you probably won’t be able to join the meeting.\,

SUMMARY:Repair & Share - Kew the Transition
DESCRIPTION:We will once again bring the joy of repairing and refurbishing to Kew\, sharing our community skills. \nAs always\, our friendly team of volunteer ‘repairers’ will offer their time and advice to help our community have a go at reviving broken items. SUMMARY:Faurés Requiem - Scratch Choir Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Join the St Anne’s Choir and Soloists for a day rehearsing and singing Fauré’s Requiem. \nSt Anne’s are inviting singers – and those who just want to have a go – to join in a performance of Fauré’s much loved Requiem on Saturday 9th November. The idea is to do the whole thing in a day\, from first rehearsal to performance!  Director of Music\, Joshua Hales\, will rehearse and conduct and some professional singers will join in to do the solo parts and supplement the choral line. The plan for the day is as follows: \n11.00 Registration and Coffee \n11.30-13.00 Rehearsal \n13.00 Lunch (please bring your own) \n2.00-3.30 Rehearsal \n4.00 Concert\, all welcome. \nThe Concert will be free. But there will be a suggested contribution of £10 (if you can) for the singers\, to offset the costs of the printed music and professional musicians. \nIf you would like to come and sing – go on\, you know you want to! – please either sign up at the back of church or send Josh an email on directorofmusic@saintanne-kew.org.uk \n

DESCRIPTION:Kew Sinfonia invites you to share an evening of beautiful and contemplative music as we present our autumn concert. Our programme offers a glimpse into an idyllic world of childhood innocence\, encompassing fairy tales\, poetry and celestial imagery. \nProgramme:\nRavel – Mother Goose Suite\nHogan – 3 Emily Dickinson Songs\nMahler – Symphony No 4 \nDaniel Hogan – Conductor\nEmily Hodkinson – Mezzo-Soprano\nCatherine Schofield – Leader \nRavel’s enchanting Mother Goose Suite is followed by the premiere of a composition by our very own conductor\, Daniel Hogan: 3 Songs\, inspired by the poetry of Emily Dickinson. Stemming from the isolation of the 2020 lockdowns\, Daniel’s songs are a musical exploration of emotions such as love\, loss\, vulnerability and hope. \nDaniel’s work complements the themes of our last piece\, Mahler’s sublime 4th symphony – his “gentlest\, sunniest\, and most affirmative work” – which depict the very profound issues of life\, death and heavenly transcendence\, the serene last movement depicting a vision of heaven as seen through the eyes of a child. \nWe are delighted to be joined by Mezzo-Soprano Emily Hodkinson for Daniel’s 3 songs and the final movement of the Mahler symphony. \nSecure your tickets here now for what promises to be a wonderful concert! \nTickets: Adult ticket £15 ▪️ Student aged 14+ £5 ▪️ Child under 14 Free ▪️ 5 adults for £60 ▪️ Adult attending with Carer £15.00
