Kew’s Friendliest Dog

KNA-full-colour

The Kew Neighbourhood Association have announced the winner of their competition to find Kew’s friendliest dog.  The competition was fierce (but friendly, or course…).  Kew is certainly a dog-loving community.

The winner is Mini Dachshund Stanley Tucci, and runner up is Cocker Spaniel Beau! Both received goody bags from Posh Pups, and Stanley Tucci will be appearing on the KNA Christmas Card, to be displayed and admired on mantelpieces all over Kew.

KNA connects local volunteers with local people who need practical help or would welcome companionship whilst still maintaining their independence. The charity was started in 1977 by local people and has been thriving ever since. All the support is offered completely free to clients.  Volunteers give their time free of charge and drivers can claim a mileage allowance to cover expenses.  They are always looking for new volunteers.  Volunteers only accept the jobs that work for them, giving from as little as 30 minutes 2-4 times a month. Drivers are particularly needed at the moment. Driving in your own car, you would be required to complete a free DBS and reference check. Volunteers and clients are all required to follow KNA’s infection control policy, and masks and gloves can be supplied for you and your passenger if required.
