Make a difference in your community β€” one journey at a time

Could you spare an hour to help a neighbour get to the GP, hospital, or local activity? Kew Neighbourhood Association (KNA) is currently looking for new volunteer drivers to join their trusted team of local residents who give lifts to those who can no longer manage public transport.

Many of KNA’s clients are older people living alone, often managing long-term health conditions. With your help, they can attend vital appointments, shop independently, or simply enjoy some social time out of the house β€” especially important during warmer months when heat and fatigue can make travel even more difficult.

β€œOur volunteers often say they gain as much as they give,” says Justine Nagaur of KNA. β€œThe conversations, the human connection β€” it’s a simple way to have a real impact on someone’s wellbeing.”

There’s no regular commitment required β€” you simply offer what time you can. Even one drive a month helps. KNA covers Kew, North Sheen and nearby areas, and full guidance is provided.

If you’ve got a car and a kind heart, KNA would love to hear from you.
