A new committee for Kew Fete

Kew Fete 3

IF YOU, YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY ENJOY KEW FETE, HERE’S A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE IT FORWARD AND ENSURE ITS FUTURE

As planning continues for this year’s Kew Fete on Saturday 20th June the Committee members, most of whom have been running this much-loved community event for 15 years, are looking for a new group of enthusiastic locals to take the Fete forward and ensure its future.

What began in 2010 as an idea by a small group of Kew residents for an intimate, local Fete following a 200-year-old tradition, has grown into an annual highlight on Kew Green, raising nearly £250,000 for local charities and bringing our community together year after year.

The current team of volunteers on the Committee feel it’s time to pass on the baton – but not before delivering another wonderful event this year. Planning and running the Fete is enormous fun and deeply rewarding. It offers a real sense of achievement, the chance to work collaboratively with other residents and the pleasure of seeing thousands of people enjoying a fantastic day out.

To make this happen we need a new group of 10-12 enthusiastic locals willing to take the Fete forward together and work as a team, sharing their skills, ideas and collective energy.

If you care about Kew and want to help secure the future of this historic community event, ensuring vital funds continue to flow to local charities, please let us know at admin@kewfete.org. We are all happy to be shadowed this year and share our experience and information.
