Funakoshi Shotokan Karate UK and Pee-Wee Karate
FSK UK and Pee-Wee Karate are independent martial arts clubs directed by Kyoshi Debi Steven, 7th Dan. Our karate family is dedicated to cultivating character, discipline, and community across London. From the first training class started over 25 years ago in the Kew Scout Hall, Kew Gardens to offering 52 training classes to over 500 karateka across London boroughs, we provide inclusive, focused and dynamic training for all ages and abilities.
Our karate family comprises two clubs:
Pee-Wee Karate for ages 3 to 5, offers fun, age-appropriate classes designed to build crucial foundational skills like coordination, balance, and respect in a relaxed environment.
Funakoshi Shotokan Karate UK (FSK UK) for students aged 6 and over (including adults) provides structured training through a set syllabus, enhancing mental and physical fitness, focus, confidence, and self-control under the guidance of experienced and vetted black belt instructors.
We believe karate is about more than technique. Our FSK UK Service Initiative encourages leadership and contribution, with senior students volunteering to raise funds. These efforts strengthen our community by supporting club members, ensuring dedicated students are never excluded.
Join our vibrant community to start your journey and unlock your full potential.
