Kew Green Nursery
We are a co-educational nursery for children aged 2 to 4 years old. Kew Green Nursery is a beautifully spacious environment situated opposite Kew Green, and moments away from Kew Green Preparatory School.
Self-confidence is at the core of a child’s education, and this is our founding principle. We focus on who the children are becoming as individuals. We provide a safe, respectful, challenging and stimulating environment where children thrive and develop a sense of belonging as they are nurtured, valued, and cared for by our dedicated and talented staffing team.
Creativity, collaboration, confidence, and communication are at the heart of Kew Green Nursery. Through an enquiry-based approach to the Early Years curriculum, it is our aim to provoke investigation and reflection. The children will become researchers, explorers, designers, problem-solvers and risk-takers. With us, they establish an articulate voice and self-awareness. The growth-mindset will be celebrated, and we encourage our children to embrace, learn and grow from their mistakes.
At Kew Green Nursery, we pride ourselves on providing a happy, nurturing and secure environment, where children feel valued, enjoy learning and can flourish. Our enthusiastic and dedicated teachers offer children a broad and balanced curriculum. In addition to gaining language, mathematical, scientific and technological skills, they are encouraged to develop enquiring minds, to question, reason and make decisions. During these early years, we hope to promote excellent social skills and we encourage all children to become responsible, confident and independent learners.
Children can attend Kew Green Nursery the term following their 2nd birthday and join our Hedgehogs Group (2 to 3 years of age). We recommend our younger children attend for a minimum of three mornings per week. When we feel your child is ready, they will then have the option to stay for more mornings and possibly a few full-day sessions. Our pre-Reception aged children form our Squirrels Group (3 to 5 years of age). We suggest that all our Squirrels attend five mornings and a minimum of three full days to get them used to the longer day before they begin their next journey to ‘Big School’.
At Kew Green Nursery, we value our families and aim to develop strong parent partnerships. We maintain an ‘open door’ policy for parents and value our relationships with you as well as with your children.
