Richmond Gymnastics Association
Richmond Gymnastics is an award-winning charity, delivering gymnastics to over 1500 children and young people based in Kew and in satellite centres across the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Founded in 1960, the club still continues to live by the same motto today: ‘to every child the opportunity’.
Their wide-ranging programmes cater to all abilities and include:
- Pre-school Rompers 8 weeks – 4 years
- Disability/ Inclusion 5 – 18 years
- Recreational 5 – 11 years
- Gym Team 11+ years
- Invitational Groups
- Competitive Squads
Not only does RGA encourage and retain (especially female) teenagers in sport, but also offers opportunities to young people to be involved in the sport not only as a gymnast, but as a Coach or Judge. RGA supports their development along their chosen pathway.
RGA is now one of the largest award-winning gymnastics clubs in the country with our coaching team also being recognised in awards for Outstanding Coach of the year (2016), Award of Merit (2020) and Lifetime Achievement Award (2021). We are also home to World and European medallists within Acrobatic Gymnastics, most recently European Champions 2023.
All RGA’s coaches are British Gymnastics qualified with Enhanced DBS checks.
