Free CPR and Defibrillator Training

April 9 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

The London Heart Starters campaign is bringing more life-saving defibrillators to the city, in the areas where they are needed most. Join Rotary Club of Kew Gardens and London Ambulance Service on 9 April to learn how to save a life.

Despite the progress they have made, research by the Rotary Club of Kew Gardens found that 19 (of 35) defibrillators in Kew are not registered with The Circuit register for emergency services. It’s also been established that the vast majority of defibrillators are not available 24/7, as they are located within premises with limited opening hours.

In a huge boon for the local area, Kew Community Trust has recently installed a new, publicly and 24/7 available, defibrillator on the wall of St Luke’s Church.

Defibrillators are safe and simple to use and the more we install in public places, the more lives will be saved.

Slots on 9 April are now nearly sold out. Walk-ins are still welcome! However, we are also currently looking to agree a new date – keep an eye out.

Join us on 9 April for your chance to learn how to save a life.

The London Ambulance Service will teach you how to do CPR and use a defibrillator to help someone.

Training will be provided in short, 15-minute bursts, where you will have the opportunity to learn, practice, and ask questions.

Walk-ins are welcomed on the day, book here to secure a specific time!
