Kew Village Market

In the lovely leafy setting of Kew village, with around 50 stalls selling quality food and crafts, with live music from local bands, KVM is famous as the finest, friendliest market in the area. It’s run entirely by local volunteers and all the operating profits are donated to local charities – adding up to an amazing £82,000 (and rising) since the market launched in October 2011.
This month music will be provided by two local acts. At 10.30am we welcome back The Perrin Jazz Collective. They will be followed by The Hanwell Ukulele Group who were so popular last Christmas at 12.30pm.
Visitors will be able to prepare for Christmas shopping with many of their favourite regulars, selling award-winning food and hand-made crafts & gifts. There is also great street food (from Columbian, curry and crepes through to Italian treats, sizzling bacon and sausage rolls and tasty falafel wraps). Visitors can try locally cured charcuterie, cheese (that’s featured in Waitrose’s new Christmas ad), fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts and much more.
The charity stall for December will be Kew Rotary selling festive Pimms. Kew Rotary are a small and active club. Locally concentrating on youth projects, schools, community groups, charities and with the students of the Royal Botanic Gardens. International projects support Rotary’s focus on water and sanitation.
We’re always looking for local residents willing to help us organise and run the market. If you can spare a couple of hours each month please get in contact by email at admin@kewvillagemarket.com
