Kew Fete 20th June – Finishing Touches!
As the days tick down, 110 stalls outside and in the Craft Marquee are fully-booked, and the Food Court stalls are fully-allocated. The Beer and Tea tents are preparing to serve fete goers, the raffle and lucky dip prizes donated and the fantastic line up on The Stage is confirmed to showcase local bands and talent acts all day. Here’s the lineup!
- 11.15 Stage: Just Imagine Dance – A creative, inclusive dance school in Central Richmond
- 11.30 Stage: Minna Williams – Minna is a talented young singer-songwriter and guitarist.
- 12.00 Stage: ENBEldersCo – A performance by English National Ballet’s older peoples’ company launched in 2018.
- 12.20 Stage: Eel Pie Two – The Eel Pie Two play vintage hepped-up 1950s rockabilly, rock ‘n’ roll, country and skiffle with a touch of jazz.
- 13.15 Stage: Calico Thieves – A band playing soulful harmonies, fiery fiddle and mandolin and foot-tapping grooves from guitar and bass.
- 14.15 Stage: Kew Academy of Performing Arts – Kew Academy of Performing Arts provides children with a strong background knowledge in dance, drama and stage performance skills
- 14.30 Stage: The Phonic – After several years’ ‘hibernation’. Join The Phonic – Kew residents Steve and Dave, and their friends Doug and Val – as they play some lively rock and pop for you to sing and dance along to.
- 15.20 Stage: Kew Dance Arts – KDA is an American-style dance school offering ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary classes in Kew and East Sheen.
- 15.35 Stage: Creak – Creak are a high-energy, five-piece rock party band from London but who play nationally and internationally.
- 16.35 Stage: Crouching Tiger Karate – Crouching Tiger Karate offer martial arts classes for all ages in Kew and surrounding areas.
- 17.15 Stage: Powerjam Bands – Bluezd – ‘Bluezd’ from Powerjam Bands @powerjambands, the local non-profit music academy, awarded ‘London Music School of the Year 2025/26’!
Along with all the live entertainment we’re hoping for plenty of sunshine to bring people flocking to Kew Green (Pond side) to enjoy all the other great attractions of this popular community event, including the friendly Dog Show, with lots of fun categories sponsored by Richmond Vets at 3pm, the Victorian fun fair, the tug of war and fun inflatables and the mobile farm.
The Committee would love to bring the total raised for local charities since 2010 to over £250,000 (the current total is £244,980,000) so come along from 11am until 6pm, entry is free and bring friends and family to make it a brilliant day out in the heart of Kew.
