Kew Fete Charity Applications are Open
ALL IN A LOT OF GOOD CAUSES – KEW FETE CHARITY APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN
As many fans of Kew Fete will know, local charities are very much at its heart.
This much-loved summer highlight is run entirely by volunteers and all the operating profits are donated to local good causes – since it started in 2010, £244,980 has been given away to a total of 48 charities in the Richmond area, in amounts ranging from under a hundred to thousands of pounds.
If yours is a local registered charity and you would like to apply for a Kew Fete donation, please visit the website for advice on applying and an application form. (Please note though that applications must be made by post, not online or by email.) The committee aims for each year’s awards to feature a range of charities offering different benefits to the local community, and successful applications tend to be for specific projects or purchases rather than for general running costs.
Applications for donations are now welcome with a deadline of Saturday 30 May 2026 to allow time for the awards to be announced at Kew Midsummer Fete on Saturday 20 June 2026, from 11am to 6pm on Kew Green.
We’re looking forward to receiving your application – sooner rather than later please as it all gets a bit hectic as fete day draws near. All the info is here.
Once again, as the current Committee are making this their final Fete after 15 years, anyone interested in getting involved in this truly rewarding and worthwhile local fund raiser should go to the Kew Fete website and email admin@kewfete.org.
There are a variety of great roles and responsibilities including Publicity & social media, Facilities, Health & Safety, Website maintenance, Stalls Management, Food Court Management, Stage Acts Management, Sponsorship, Logistics and all Committee members bring whatever skills they have to make the event happen.
